ABOUT

My Personal Story:

Have you ever been told you can’t or you shouldn’t or you’ll never?  I have been told all those phrases and if I would have believed them I would not be here today.

I was told: I'd never play college football . . . I did and led the team in TD's, yards, and receptions.

I was told: I'd never be able to teach in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Chicago . . . not only did we live there but I had the highest Math & Science scores in the K-8 school.

I was told: I'd never be able to run a home repair business . . . I have and well enough that I am coaching others to do the same.

People often ask me what I like to do most at jobs, my answer is anything that others haven’t been able to do.  I love to problem solve and figure out the best solution: by doing the job right and most economical.

I was born and raised in a small farm town which helped form my work ethic.  Fast forward to the present, I have 2 Masters Degrees and yet chose to run my own business and I love it!

If you would have told me ten years ago I would be running my own home repair business I would have thought you were crazy.  I was teaching 4th grade in inner-city Chicago and living with my family a block from my school when we decided to put on a 2nd story addition on our house.  We thought we did the addition because we were going to need it for our growing family as we thought we would be living there for a long time.  But God had different plans and used that 2nd story addition to hone my building and home repair skills and teach me more skills as I put in my own bathroom, got really good at dry walling, put in closets and walls, plumbing, painting, and lots more.   A year and a half later we decided to move from the inner city to the suburbs of Chicago.  When we moved I began my own home repair business and built up a strong clientele.  I love what I do!  I love being able to work with my hands and help make your home a place you love.

This is a family business!  My family loves my job and what I do.  Now that my children are getting older you may meet one of my boys at a job sometime.  I desire to teach them as they grow and that may include bringing one of them to an estimate, or if the job includes something that they could do or help with, I will bring them to help me and then as they grow they will be able to work alongside me.  As well I love teaching home owners how to take care of their own home.

I love spending time with my wife and my children.   We love to take walks, travel together, hike, explore, read, go to the beach, and camp.  Thus I try to be home everyday around 4-4:30 to be the father and husband I need to be.

I look forward to seeing how I may help you love living in the home where you are.
